Everyone at The NCS would like to congratulate Abrar Rahman and Sahil Mohit for being awarded a Top Gold in the British Physics Olympiad (Round 1). Each year only the top 4% of approximately 4000 students are awarded the Top Gold prize. This is the first time students from The NCS have achieved a certificate at this high level.
About The British Physics Olympiad
The British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) is a prestigious series of competitions designed to challenge and inspire young physicists in the UK. Established in 1979, it offers various levels of contests for students in years 11 to 13, including the Intermediate Physics Challenge, Senior Physics Challenge, and the Experimental Project.
The BPhO aims to encourage the study of physics and recognise excellence through these competitions, which also serve as qualifiers for the UK team in the International Physics Olympiad.
The Olympiad is organised by a dedicated team of physics teachers and academics, with its administrative office based at the University of Oxford.
